Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MASTER IT TCG is a trading card collection companion designed to help users track sets, mark owned cards, build chase lists, and interact with friends through collection-related profile features.

2. Information we collect

We may collect and store the following categories of information:

• Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and login details managed through our authentication provider. You may sign in with Apple or Google; existing accounts may also use email and password.
• Profile information, such as your username, display name, and public profile details.
• Profile pictures, if you choose to upload or take a profile photo for your account. Profile pictures are optional and can be seen by other users on profiles and in friend-related views. Uploaded pictures use a publicly accessible image URL.
• Collection data, such as tracked sets, owned cards, owned card variants, and chase cards.
• Scanner data, such as temporary card images or camera frames, recognized card text, catalogue matches, and collection changes made after a scan. Camera access is requested when you use the scanner.
• Subscription information, such as Premium entitlement, trial, and purchase status. Payment details are handled by the App Store.
• Social data, such as friend requests, accepted friendships, and profile viewing features made available inside the app.
• Notification data, such as a device push token when you allow notifications for friend activity. If you turn on the optional free-trial reminder, the app schedules it on your device.
• Advertising measurement data, such as the device's advertising identifier (when available), app install and launch events, and related device and app information. On iOS, the TikTok App Events SDK starts only if you allow Apple's tracking request.
• Support communications, such as information you send to us when contacting support.
• Technical/session data, such as authentication session information, scanner preferences, selected price currency, and essential browser or app storage. Some collection, card-price, and preference data is cached on your device to speed up the app.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account,
• save and display your collection progress,
• show your chosen profile picture on your account and profile,
• identify scanned cards, look up card information and reference prices, and add cards to your collection when you choose Auto-add,
• check Premium access and manage purchase restoration,
• enable tracked set and chase card features,
• enable social features such as friends and profile viewing,
• send friend-request and acceptance notifications if you allow them,
• schedule a free-trial reminder on your device if you choose it,
• measure installs and app launches from our TikTok ads if you allow tracking on iOS,
• respond to support requests and account questions,
• maintain, secure, and improve the app and website,
• comply with legal obligations where required.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in limited situations, including:

• with Supabase for account, database, and profile-picture storage; Apple or Google for sign-in where selected; and Apple and RevenueCat for purchases and Premium entitlement checks,
• with Expo and Apple push services to deliver friend notifications when you have granted notification permission,
• with TikTok for Business through its App Events SDK to measure our app advertising, but only after you allow Apple's tracking request on iOS. The current integration sends automatic install and launch events; we do not configure it to send your card scans, collection, purchase events, or account email,
• with TCGdex for card and market-price lookups, and Frankfurter for exchange rates when needed. These requests concern card or currency data rather than your full account or a scan image,
• with OpenAI for image recognition in older server-assisted scanner versions. The current mobile scanner recognizes printed card details on the device; it then queries our catalogue and price providers.
• where your information is intentionally visible through in-app social features, such as profile or progress sharing,
• when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the service,
• as part of a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, if that ever occurs.

Your uploaded profile picture can appear to other users in profiles, friend requests, friend lists, and friend search. Granting camera or photo-library permission alone does not upload a profile picture; you must choose a picture to upload.

Advertising and tracking choices

On iOS, you can decline the app tracking request and continue using the app. If you decline, the TikTok App Events SDK is not started. You can change your choice later in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. Notification permission and the optional free-trial reminder are separate choices.

5. Data retention

We keep account and collection information for as long as needed to operate the service and maintain your account, unless you request deletion or we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, or operational reasons.

If Premium expires, collection access is locked. Collection data may be scheduled for later deletion; the app shows a date when one is available. Scanner images are used to identify cards, not published as collection photos. Temporary images and local caches may remain subject to device or service-provider storage practices. Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase records under their own policies.

6. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account through the app or website, where available. When your deletion request is processed, we aim to remove your profile and associated collection data from our active systems, subject to any legal or technical retention requirements.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage that separately in your Apple account settings. You can deny or later disable notification permission in your device settings.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information using technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

MASTER IT TCG is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to create an account without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to access, correct, or delete certain information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Your continued use of the app or website after changes are posted means the updated policy will apply going forward.
