Chase cards

A good Pokemon card chase list keeps the hobby focused.

Every collector knows the feeling: too many wants, too many tabs, too many screenshots. A chase list turns that noise into a clear plan for the cards you actually care about next.

MASTER IT TCG is an independent collector app. Pokemon is referenced descriptively for hobby collectors.

A chase list is not the same as a missing-card list

A missing-card list is everything you do not own. A chase list is the subset you are actively looking for. That difference matters because completion goals can be huge. You may be missing hundreds of cards but only care about finding five at the next show.

Split chase cards by reason

Not all chase cards are chased for the same reason. Some complete a set. Some are favourite characters. Some are art cards. Some are cards you want in better condition. Some are long-term grails that you do not expect to buy soon.

Use a chase list before card shows

Card shows are full of distractions. A chase list helps you move through tables with a plan. You can check exact card names and numbers, avoid duplicate purchases, and focus your budget on the cards that actually move your collection forward.

Keep the list small enough to be useful

A chase list with 200 cards quickly becomes another collection database. The best chase lists are short, current, and easy to scan. When a card is found, remove it or move it into owned progress, then choose the next card that deserves attention.
